Broker’s Comments

SAOIRSE is a beautifully kept late-model, standard-keel version of the very popular Sabre 362 series. Both the original and current owners of the boat have been based in Jamestown, RI, and for most of her life, she has been stored indoors during the winter. A well-balanced sail plan allows her to be easily handled by a couple, and she delivers excellent performance. SAOIRSE has been Awlgripped dark blue and features a beautifully finished interior in varnished cherry, with two cabins plus a spacious saloon. Two fabric-covered settees provide a total of six berths.

The galley is L-shaped and includes a large top-loading refrigerator, a two-burner stove with oven, and deep double sinks. Opposite the galley is a spacious head with stall shower. Electronics are by Raymarine and include a plotter, radar, sailing instruments, and autopilot, along with an Icom VHF and a stereo.

On deck, her white gelcoat and non-skid are accented by varnished toerails and handholds, along with a beige-colored dodger, hatch covers, and sail cover. Forward, there is an electric anchor winch and bow-mounted anchor. The cockpit is spacious, with wheel steering, a varnished cockpit table, and storage lockers.

The rig is a white-painted, double-spreader aluminum mast and boom, with lazy jacks and a Harken headsail furler.

She is powered by a reliable, larger-than-standard Yanmar 40hp diesel.

For a cruising couple or family, few yachts of this size can match the Sabre 362. From her sleek, timeless, classic American profile to her excellent sailing performance, the 362 stands out among all others in her size and class.

The Sabre 362 is also a past winner of the prestigious Cruising World Boat of the Year competition.

Owner’s Comments

We have loved owning SAOIRSE for the last 12 years, and she has been the perfect upgrade from our previous 29’ C&C. The two of us enjoy local day sails, New England cruising, and, lately, taking the grandkids out on the boat. There are not many classically designed, later-model, American-made sailboats in this size range nowadays, and she truly fits the bill for New England waters. She is a beauty!

For us, it is now time to consider a powerboat.
